WX Entertainment could not be more honored to have Brickhouse Baker - the six-time and current YPW Champion - to be the first ever WX Entertainment Wrestler of the Year. The 15-year plus veteran is one of, if not the, best in the indy circuit today. With the respect of all his peers, from the young, fresh face guys to the long-time vets of the biz, we respect him and learn from him in some way, you see. Let me explain what Baker is to this sport.

Recently, at a show at the Shriner's Auditorum in Wilmington, MA, where YPW and SCCW both had a show, Baker was on the card that night. Well, backstage, I saw a crowd of young guys that are training with us in a huddle. So, I went to see what was going on. There was Baker, teaching and explaining this business to the young blood moments before his match. And then, when he was done with his match, he continues teaching to them and explaining to them what they need to do and showing them with such passion and pride. You see, Baker not only teaches inside the ropes but outside, too. He is one of the most fun, real guys you will ever meet. He is tradition, he is a team player, and a leader as well as a teacher. As one SCCW superstar told me, "Brickhouse is like the godfather of Top Rope Promotions. He taught me all I know and still continues to today. For that, I respect him and honor him. He is this business."

After that, I went around, asking everyone I could what they thought, and they all felt the same way. Brickhouse Baker is a leader, teacher and one funny motherf***er. Well, I could not agree more. Brickhouse Baker, here's to another 15 years, Champ. You are truly a Top Rope Promotions legend.
